Yeah me too I've had quite a few house spiders infact one on my bed while I was in it not so long ago!!!! Terrified to leave my windows open now |

A spider crawled out the overflow when I was in the bath one night. I don't know how it managed to get through it was huge!! |

They are only down south due to climate and have been for decades....nothing new...no need to worry. Only in the media due to weather and more people die in uk due to wasp n bee stings....fact....radio2....lol |

Stories in papers of it in glasgow but the dad had flushed it down the toilet ! I advise anyone who is afraid of them to actually visit amazonia see the handlers with some very large spiders then if your brave enough you can get to hold one yourself my wife who was a total nightmare and would scream if she saw one now quite calmly catches them and flings them outside |

They have been in the UK for around 100 years ...why all of a sudden is there this panic lol they are just wee beasties.....with fat juicy bodies n long dangly legs n they are coming to get YOU! |

i love spiders, there was massive fecker in my kitchen the other day and i picked it up with out thinking to put it outside, said hello to it and had a wee chat and popped it outside...
said a pic of these false widows and it looked just like it !! oops hee hee

Lol.. But they're nothing to actually be worried about. More people have dies from Bee stings recently than can be attributed to these spiders.. It's arsehole journalism like the Daily Mail and the Sun that's responsible. And they keep showing all the wrong spider pictures.
Then again, since when did we stop the truth keeping a good story going. |
