Places To Eat Late In Glasgow

What's open late midweek in town? We come up for Celtic CL games, and by the time we walk back into town it seems everywhere is shut. We did (just) get into Kama Sutra on Suachiehall Street once, but had to rush- last week even the Burger King was shut!

Ideally looking for Thai/Indian type places.

Any advice gratefully received

Well we haven't found them then! Like I said Kama Sutra let us in at just before 11 but we had to rush, bearing in mind we are specifically talking about mid week. We tend to stay at Charing Cross , so walk right up Sauchiehall and nowheres open after half ten!

Thanks, but I've just googled it and it seems to be right up by Kelvingrove, which I think is a fair way past Charing Cross?

Our problem is the quickest way to get back into town after a Celtic game is walk, so its a good half hour before you get to the bottom of Trongate, which makes it gone half ten once the game has finished we ended up at Wok To Walk last week, which is nice, but we really wanted a proper sit down meal x

There is a nice Indian on Albion Street, just off Trongate. I can't remember the name, but had a good meal there a couple of years back.

I'd suggest jumping on a train from Belgrove and jump off at Charing cross. I'd imagine that's slightly quicker than walking

Looks like you must mean Cafe India, which looks lovely but last orders at half ten, so we would just miss it! Its hard to eat in Glasgow mid week!

I'm often found in the gala casino having a munch after work or been out in a club, they serve food and drink up untill 5.30am-not sure of the selection of indian dishes that they have on the menus though as i'm not a fan of it.

The caravan at the Fountain at Charing Cross.

Great rolls n sausage, choice of sauce. Strong coffee and 'interesting' conversations.

Or for a totally outrageous idea, have your dinner before the game

We'd prefer to have it after, hence the question. If we can't, we can't, but there's no harm in asking.

Hard one ! We're lucky, we only live 15 mins from the park so we're home fairly quickly after games. You could walk to bell grove and get a train into Glasgow?

Not sure about anywhere in merchant city. Take it u have tried there? Amber regent on regent street mite be opened later. Know it used to be. There's a really good chippy on high street. Best in Glasgow apparently. Has a few tables. Soz can't be of any more help. Hail hail. X

Thanks, all suggestions gratefully received. I have caught the train from bellgrove before, but you can't always get on the first one because of the crowds, so it seems just as quick to walk back into town (isn't dalmarnock quicker btw?)

I think we will give it a go, at first glance I thought as it was over the river it may be too far away, but its only a 20 minute walk to our hotel
