Yep... it happened to me years ago..
Guy I was with claimed to work offshore 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off...
didnt work offshore at all... All the "homers" he was doing on his alleged 2 week off were actually his full time job...
He told the same story to his "other girlfriend"
Took about 7 months before I caught him out..

Yipp happened to me..Yrs ago.
Met on.a date site.."Not POF".lol
Guy Told me his wife had died.
After 6months.
We lived together. engaged.got jobs same place.
Short of it was.
"She was Not dead but dying ". and lived in.england..
Our flat was there holiday flat..
She wanted to stay there before she died..
He just fkd off..Told me to go shoping. stay overnite with my pal.
pick me up nxt day. lol
No word just went..!.
So I was Homeless and jobless in one night
As the flat was in his name.
It was in Argyle so not alot of buses. he had a car.
was 15 miles in the snow. to work so cld not walk it.
. Had to start again with the clothes on my back.
Had to move in with family till got a flat.
Is it any wonder I dont trust men lol..
I felt for his poor wife as she didnt have a clue.
Nor Did I .just knew somthing was wrong..
He contacted. me again a week later.by phn .
Thats when he told me the truth.
Saying he was nxt of kin.wld I wait for him. as he wld get her money.
I was so shocked
I just said..NO amount of money wld make go bk with him.
If he cld do it once wld do it again..
I changed my number that day .
Cost me £ 25.00. It was worth every penny
what a B****d.
I'm sure Theres quite a few people have been duped like that..

I you think that's bad you should try reading "The Bigamist" by Mary Turner Thomson, it's a true story (get it out of a library its not that well written). It has to be said that she was very gullible. |
