There are also places open that the public don't normally get access to.

I went to Merchants' Hall and the Briggait.

Merchant's Hall is impressive. Never even knew it was near George Square.

There's an OK website and a good facebook page for this. Places in Glw are still open today.

It may be different weekends in other parts of the country.

Brilliant idea.

I believe that they are giving tours of Central stations glass roof this year.

One of the largest glass canopy's in Western Europe, iirc.

Some of the really good stuff requires pre booking so check before just turning up.

Went to 4 today. Thought that the Art School would be good but you can only see it on a tour and I hadn't prebooked so 30 minutes to find a parking space and 10 minutes in the place.

The art School is always one of the places you need to book early for.

Doors Open is always the same weekend in Sept, so bookmark the site for next year, and start checking it out in August.

I managed to visit a few places in the West End yesterday, but my pain has flared up as a result, so missed out on another 2-3 today.

They use to do tours of the Iron Brew factory but not sure if they do anymore.

I have been to a few interesting places but not this year.

I think all production is in that shed in C'nauld nowadays. Just 'think', mind.

It is, and the shed is right next to the largest sewage works in Lanarkshire. Say no more....

Best of the lot was the worst maintained!! It was govanhill baths on Calder street. It needs total renovation but funds have been secured. Took me back to when I was in short trousers and me and my pals should to go there during school holidays.
