Hello again! lol

further to the very large amount of interest on the older thread, I can now cofirm the following:

Highland Fling social will be on 10th April

Location - Inverness City centre

Venue - pubs/clubs

Following really good suggestions and loads of enthusiasm on the older thread and by email - would now like to get an accurate list of those who wish to come up to the Capital of the Highlands for a fantastic social night out in April

All those interested please post here so that I (we) can keep track of who's coming (Cassiopeia is helping out with the organising).

Please feel free to contact me directly if you have any queries at all ... Will be listing a range of hotels and suggestions for the night in the next few days.

for those who have never visited Inverness why not make a weekend of it and visit some of the most fantastic scenery in the world!

Loch Ness is only 10 mins away (you can go on a cruise on the Sunday to clear yer heeds! lol) and the Moray firth has the most northerly population of bottle nose dolphins (sure I've seen one or two on Fab ffs!

lol) and there are many many things to see and do.

The City centre is very lively on a Saturday night, with loads of pubs playing live music, and a few clubs for the clubbers amongst you all

The river ness flows from Loch Ness through Inverness centre out to the Moray firth, and has a really beautiful group of Islands a few hundred yards from the City Centre - great place to chill out

As I say, happy to pass on any info folks may want to know!

Okie dokie,

there seems to be a problem with some folks Fab profiles after sending out the hotels list - seems that the Fab Mods don't like hotel lists being sent out directly to peoples profiles, and have blocked all the addresses (sorry Mods, didn't realise that you were not happy about mailing out hotel details!)

To save any further problems, please contact me directly with your hotmail addy and I'll return the hotel list to you via msn

Hi Folks,

Great idea! We can PROBABLY come (regretfully we work really weird shifts all over the place and often at short notice). Will hopefulyl be in Inverness on that date. Delighted to see Shnekkie being a swingers venue at last!lol

P.S: Station Hotel in Inverness is right next to the railway station and often does deals. Nice, classic looking place too...and big beds.....

Some people may not be aware, but Inverness was actually in the Daily Record around 4/5 years ago as the "Swinging Capital of Scotland" lol. I remember the story well - and of of the swingers sites numbers doubled overnight! lol Must be all that good clean Highland air, eh!

As it happens, the station Hotel is just one of the hotels on my list - just mail me for details

Environmentally friendly? ...

A wee thought ... Have had very positive mails from quite a few folks now from the Glasgow/Ayr/Aberdeen areas, mostly from single women, but also cpl's and guys who quite rightly are cautious about travelling "all the way to Inverness" for a night out. If anyone is travelling and would like some company for the run (which remember is quite stunning through Drumochter pass and the Cairngorms National Park area, and after all this snow will most likely still have some high level snow) please speak to each other (one of the whole pints in asking folks to confirm interest on this thread was so that you could all get a good auld look at each other and hopefully look forward to meeting some other cool folks, in a totally normal "night out on the town" setting

Say hi, and maybe help each other out with car sharing/company on the bus ... Whatever, and its good for the environment!

lol It is a 100% social event, so why not make the most of it and help out some really cool people come along to

Rightio, have sussed out a really good live band pub with a cool wee club attached

. Will most likely kick off around 8.30pm to allow plenty time for the travelling up folks to get here

CHEAP RAIL RETURN TICKETS FROM ABERDEEN!!!

A couple have had to pull out due to an accident, and there are now 3 cheap cheap return rail tickets available from Aberdeen to Inverness!!! Only £5 per return ticket!!! First come first served basis! There were four tickets originally booked - and a beautiful young lady would like some travelling company for the trip!!!
