Been ages since had chance to get along to one of the socials, but got to say as a single guy going to social is one of best things i ever did, you get to meet lots of fab new people have a good laugh and maybe even find a few playmates. Its a great chance just to see and be seen, and you get to indulge in one of the most important aspects of swinging lol friendship and conversation wait thats 2 lol |

Hanging around the bar - I can do that even if I cant see over the thing!!
Dancing - DANCING no one told me I would have to do that!!! You mean the shuffle around and sway type movement dont you?? If not Im stuffed. I cant dance I look like Im having some kind of fit if I have to dance!!

Falling off heels is what I do best you know and you cant steal my crown I wont let you hun
Mind you I will let you keep the tripping over your hem crown cos my dress is only knee length so all I got to worry about is falling over (and not with drink lol cos I wont be drinking at all) and losing my daughters bangles - isnt she a sweetie for letting "old mum" borrow her "cool" things??

Well I went down to the ayr social a couple of weeks ago as a newly single guy - gotta say, was very interesting and a giggle Was made very welcome by everybody. Why not think about oor wee Highland fling up here on 10th April? See relevant thread for info ... Gary |

funny how some folk still think there is a big bowl in the middle of the room at socials and its pick a key.
ITS A Social just like going to a normal pub with friends. and meeting new ones.
and if you are invited to the after bash ball well all the better - folk always need a barman lol |

as long as people go with the idea that socials are non playing events and a chance to get to actually talk and socialise then you'll be absolutely fine.....
like others have said it is not different to any friday/saturday night out in town..... go out... chat.. drink.. you'll be fine
