Every town has B+Bs that are cheerful cheap and not bland generic hotel based.

Unless of course you wish to entertain in your room

You wont get a cheap room unless you book well in advance. Travel Lodge is generally cheaper but you get what you pay for, I'd avoid. You might get a good deal from Holiday Inn Express in Picardy Place. At least the festival is over....

Obviously there are the large chains like premier in but what i was meaning is if anyone knew of anything that might be cheaper

St Andrews this week

We've often used h**els.c*m to find a last minute hotel. Were in Hotel 20 in Edin couple months ago, £30 BnB for 2 and Heritage, Glasgow, Sunday night £29 BnB. Cannae be beat!!
