The new driving laws?

You can get fined for tailgating, so have you loked in rear mirror and noticed a healthier gap suddenly?

Or been done for hogging the middle lane?

That'll be from the M74 turn off on the M8 to Glasgow airport,,,

They have this law over here for tailgating all ready.

A friend of mine was caught tailgating , rushing to get her husband to the airport. €1,800 and he still missed his flight.

Made no difference round here. Arseholes still totter along in wrong lane. They surely think is ok if its the outside lane of a dual carriageway coz thats not a "middle lane" Clearly £100 fine isnt a big enough deterrent for them. id bring back hanging

That's a bit extreme isn't it!

Maybe a course for reoffenders?

I agree with the tailgating and I can't stand the people who sit in the outside lane at a low speed and don't move out the way arghh but I don't really agree with this middle lane thing u get fined and 3points what next

Luv cyclists. Look right when approaching the junction, if nothings coming, carry on. And if theres something coming.....just carry on too .

If you move to the outside Lane to overtake and the git in it doing half your speed doesn't move and you end up close to him/her who gets fined?

Aye, tar them all with the same brush. Just like every car driver is an arse hole, no bus driver ever looks before he pulls out and all truck drivers eat Yorkies

Police can act on that too....assessing folks not driving to expected standards etc....including puting yourself out in the outside lane and making zero progress and messing with smooth flow of traffic.

I wouldn't tar them ALL with the same brush but there are increasing numbers of cyclists playing street roulette where the odds, at least of being uninjured, are very heavily stacked against them.

Nobody is better, less capable of making mistakes. If everyone drove perfectly constantly....there would never be accidents etc.

Caprona

Nothing nicer than, sitting just under the speed limit with a burgundy Leguna trying to mount your boot.

was slowly overtaking a lorry doing 50 at the gasworks towards Robroyston Asda

Unmarked speed cops had pulled a old corsa over

Police Scotland strike easy targets again

Bring back capital punishment for driving in the wrong lane? Wow, thats a bit strong surely?

Ha ha ha ha well done my man

While down south a couple of years ago I noticed arrows/lines on the road with signs also saying keep 2/3 lines clear if the car in front I think these would work up here

Maybe painting the road surface of the A9 with prison chevrons will help.

Doubt it, mind you the never ending roadworks it would cause might.
