Ever lost someone your close to or drifted apart for any reason. I lost a best friend 8 years ago today. She was the love of my life and a true best friend.

Yes. Just over 81/2 years ago and we all miss her every day.

Just sit outside somewhere quiet for 30 seconds, look up and breathe. Watch the clouds go by, think happy thoughts about them and know you aren't alone

Yes lost my step dad 11 years ago suddenly in June right before fathers day.

On this day I always hum

" bring me sunshine"

by Eric Morecambe and ernie wise

This was played at his funeral.

Reflect and think of all the brilliant times that we had.

What I wouldn't give just to have 5 more minutes with him.

Living with loss is never easy. People say time is a healer. I think it's what you find the strength to do with the time that helps. I like to think of those i have lost waiting for me...close by. I just cant see or hear them but i like to think i feel them as in this poem.... X

"Death is nothing at all.

I have only slipped away into the next room,

I am I and you are you,

Whatever we were to each other, that we still are.

Call me by my old familiar name,

Speak to me in the easy way which you always used,

Put no difference in your tone,

Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow,

Laugh as we always laughed,

At the little jokes we enjoyed together.

Let my name be ever the household word that it always was.

Let it be spoken without effect,

Without the trace of a shadow on it.

Life means all that it ever meant,

It is the same that it ever was.

There is unbroken continuity.

Why should I be out of mind,

Because I am out of sight?

I am waiting for you, for an interval,

Somewhere very near,

Just around the corner, all is well."

Yes

Three of the closest to me in a short space of time. It's coming up for two of the anniversaries so I'm feeling it a wee bit. That's a wonderful poem and along with the footprints one, were favourites of my mum.

Never a day goes by I don't think of them and it doesn't get easier. You just find ways of coping.

Bring me sunshine is a good shout to cheer me up as well though

Thoughts go out to all of you in pain
