"Candles add to the atmosphere, and hide the smell of sweaty socks or feet (sometimes).
You need to choose your meets more wisely lol "
Hence I have only coffee meets or meet with my Bessie mate only. |

Excuse me, that's cheap! A decent candle can easily cost you twice that.
Candles have been big business for years now, where have you been? |

I agree plenty of good ones BUT the yankee ones are so much better! Last longer and the smell is stronger....

"There must be something wrong with me. I'm not fussed on smelly candles. I would much rather open the window.
Nae class! "
Your right I must not . What was I thinking about preferring fresh air and the flickering glow from my log burner. |

Sorry to disappoint you, but there are plenty of candles available now which are at least the equal of Yankee, and at a signicant price reduction.
Don't get me wrong, I'm happy to acknowledge that Yankee has done a great marketing job, but much of it is simply marketing. There are several other American and Canadian ranges of jar candles out there in good gift shops and garden centres. |

I agree with you.
I don't burn candles very often but I do have very good ones and none of them are Yankee. Its the name your paying for. X |

I was given a couple of large Jo Malone boudoir candles die my birthday one year and as a candle lover I have to admit I was surprised. Only needed to burn one for about 20 minutes for it to scent my entire flat. Lasted ages as well. Wish I had the money to treat myself but can't justify the prices. They were lovely though |

Have always loved candles, the light the ambiance and for some the smell, but from two years ago when our son was diagnosed with asthma I no longer use candles in the house, I have them only as display. |
