imagine the scenario- make contact, arrange coffee, he cancels an hour beforehand but online, not by phone so too late to stop you going to pre-arranged place. Second chance involves me taking long train journey, to stand and wait in rain then find out, online again that there's another excuse for no-show. Fair enough. These things happen. But then find out that on the same online time, he's changed his profile saying after a lot of soul searching over the last 5 days, that he's not meeting anyone......with no thought of my wasted, expensive day. Me? I'm so angry I'm off. |

i certainly wouldnt leave the site because of it hun......just put it down to experience and move on, not alot else u can do in the circumstances. it is unfortunate u wasted time and money on someone who didnt have the decency to tell u directly but ce la view unfortunately x |

This is really quite sad, especially if you follow through on your intention to leave the site because of this selfish, thoughtless arse.
However we've suffered similarly at the hands of single girls & other couples, but would have to say that the 'good' meets more than compensate for the time-wasters... & ohhh boy, have our bullshit-o-meters become acutely tuned!!
I can sympathise with the bitter after-taste that you've been left with, but as in every walk of life- you'll meet all types on here (lol) but we've made some very good friends of a few of them.

Don't let the ass**** win hun. For every one like him there are 5 or more decent guys out there.
I've had one I've given 3 chances to but unlike yours he did call - but waited till I was already there after anything from 10 -30 min car journeys. Needless to say 3 strikes he's definitely out |

well, that is rather my point. How else do you, at the end of the day, avoid a waster who talks a good game? no matter how nice they may seem to you or others, the bottom line is that they've been selfish and thoughtless. |

i agree, no reason to leave the site for idiots, but it is just as bad with cpls and sgl women, who say hi one minute and ignore you the next, for NO reason whatsoever, whether or not they change their profiles or not. everyone has their own reasons, but seems manners go out the window, when it comes to using the net |

Hunni you are not alone regarding timewasters. I am sure nearly everyone on here has had a timewaster or 2 in the past. Keep your chin up though not everyone is a timewaster. Maybe check to see if they have been verified or not. Also I tend to find the ones who have been here months and have not had a verification are pretty much ones to avoid as well after all if they have been here 6 months or more and not had a meet I doublt they are going to arrange one anytime soon.
I certainly would not leave the site because of one ass just put it down to experience. If your going to arrange a meet try and make it one where you are not going to be out of pocket on long distance traveling if he wants to meet you so much then he will come to you. xxxx |

Thanks for your words of wisdom, guys. They make a lot of sense. After a night's thinking about it, I can understand why I was so upset. Like everyone else, I've met a fair share of timewasters and it's washed off me. I've travelled much further to meet a waste of space and only was cross. I'm not naturally an angry person. What got me was that he made me feel like a worthless whore, and that's not a feeling I'll lose anytime soon. Thanks for that. |

Dinna let him make you feel like that Heather he is not worth it xx. There are time wasters and a*******s on here but they are a minority and at the end of the day this idiot missed a chance he won't ever have again.
A pity there is no name and shame allowed as no doubt this saddo will do the same again to someone else.

hi totally agree with the rocky there , guy wastes it for a lot of people, if he was thinkin that maybe swinging is not for him , he should have said beforehand that he is having second thoughts about it , at least have been honest with you , iv had this once but not on this site on another , but it did not dis-courage me from trying , fact is there are always going to be people like that but there are a lot of genuine decent responsible people here , iv not been a member long but i have been welcomed to the community for which im thankful , stick with it and hopefully you will find what you are looking for . |

I can totally understand why you were annoyed and upset hun, but like others have said, would you really wanna meet someone who is clearly not to be trusted?
On another note, how many chances do you give people who arrange to meet then cancel at short notice?
You'll find plenty of people on here who are friendly and genuine and are very reliable hunni so try not to let one idiot get to you xxxxxx |

The annoying thing about this is that there are dozens of guys out there who always complain that no-one mails them back. Then you get one plonker who actually gets a meet and then doesn't show up. It gives all us decent guys who know how to treat a lady a bad name. Rabbit581 |

Sympathise fully,phones going mid train journey,cancelling me, feckin kickin my heels in broughty ferry fr oors in a bar and suddenly it dawns on you, nae phone number i took to say "eh where are yi"? Still sat in the bar sippin my gradualy realising im up a creek,lol.
And to cap them all, £60 for a hotel that start of the day was for such a fun bunch but come 8pm its for Mr N.Obody.
I have learnt as we all do i think, i kinda,,,hard way.
But we keep going because we know and hope the good guys outweigh the w,,,,rs.

Hi all. Got over myself after a few days and decided to stay. The person involved sent me a message explaining fully what hah happened, which was honest and decent of him and helped a lot. All I can hope is that maybe someone reading this would think twice about letting another down. |
