A number of years ago for reasons unknown I was hit with insomnia. Lasted weeks and weeks. Forced me to change my line of work to something that fitted in with disruptive sleep patterns.
Then it went away. But every now and then I'll get hit with what I call "all nighters". When sleep just won't come.
I blame the brain.
Me: I'm tired. i have to sleep.
Brain: No. tonight we are going to lie awake and think about every single problem in your life and analyse them to the nth degree. Mostly coming down on the side of the worst that can happen.
Me: No. I just want to sleep.
Brain: Aye right.
Brains a bast*rd. |
