Doing a startup repair but fook all happening.

It was shackled to the patio table...
Switched it on and nothing happened, just a blank screen. Took battery out and back in and got into the startup repair screen, but it's been running for ages and nowt happening. |

Is there any sign of life?
Power light on, fan, hard drive running etc? Or is it just totally dead?
If its completely dead first try changing the fuse in the socket, if its not that it's potentially an internal power issue.
If there are life signs then it needs more diagnostics. |

OK, now that you have wasted our time , when did you last do any maintenance on it? (Disk Clean up, defrag, registry clean up, etc.....)  |

Glad it's sorted.
Prob best getting it serviced though, especially cleaning the fan, your most likely issue. In the meantime make sure you keep the bottom of it ventilated, I.e. don't put it on the bed etc. |

Our external hard drive chucked it big time and I finally got it working so to be safe I transferred all the dirty pics onto the wee netbook as since I got the laptop I never use it and kids have their own laptops.
Came in one day when johns 12yr old daughter was up visiting to find her using it I nearly died!
I ran in and said och what you using that for its soo slow - here have my laptop lol

Download Advanced System Care 6, you can upgrade it to the pro version for free by looking for a code on YouTube, either way run the free version. This will speed your lappy right up and get rid of all the things that slow it down, broken dll's etc, hope this helps x |
