Well I mind giving it to them.
Public servants have been capped at 1% for the forseeable future. Why should she get more? |

Working in the care sector most folk have actually had wages cut back to the minimum wage as councils cap the rates they pay for care services .. So our pay rises over the last few years have been -%
But we are expected to do more courses and pay more registration fees on less money - but still care more for folk( which of course we do anyway, your not coming into this job for the money lol)
And I think in this financial climate she should have not had a pay rise at all |

"Think it's based on extra income received by the crown estates so it doesn't bother us
In a nutshell "
Crown estates net profit 2012,was 240 million pounds, this revenue is paid to
H M treasury.
The country could be doing with a few more scroungers like her.

An unelected head of state who only gets her position through birth and is kept in unparalleled wealth, totally cut of from real life and has no idea of what it is like, for example, to be kept ill on a trolley in A &E.
They bring no significant wealth to Scotland.
She has nothing to do with democracy.(Government of the people, by the people and for the people).
It is the most blatant symbol of wealth inequality.
Can you imagine if the monarchy and all the right wing press went on strike - the country would hardly grind to a halt.
Should we actually have an unelected head of stead, never mind giving them a £38 million pay rise?
The tourist argument is pure myth - look at versailles. We would get more tourists if the palaces were empty and their art collections and furniture were opened to the public.
Other people could be invited to cut ribbons and open places. People who have done something with their lives or even just ordinary people who have lived through the wars, with interesting stories and who are around the same age as lizzie.

Yawn. People greetin' about what other folk get. I don't give a damn.
If people spent more time improving their own lives instead of whining and wailing "it's no fair!!" every time they see green cheese, life would be so much more pleasant. |

Technically the monarch owns the crown estate so it's difficult to see how this can be considered scrounging. Apparently the income from them was given to the treasure in exchange for an income from the civil list but the civil list has since been scrapped. |

i dont consider the queen a scrounger, that was my unsuccesful stab at sarcasm.
you could not buy the respect the monarchy gives this country. |
