...invites you to their house, gives you the postcode, & when you arrive & message them to tell them, they block you & turn their phone off?? I'm not knocking a random door at this time of night.

Bloody wasted journey :/

Suspicious of what? Was it a verified profile with their verifies open? A man pretending to be a woman?

Anyway, no excuse at all for that. I know it's of no consolation but you will not be the first or last guy this will happen to. Just one if the knocks some of us experience in the pursuit of fun.

The profile had a couple of pics, I added as a friend, saw more pics, not just porn pics ripped off the web. They had 2 verifications, open to see.

I'm not gonna spit out the dummy & storm off the site, I've met genuine couples on here. But that is crappy behaviour if you ask me. I'm kinda peeved to be fair. A hug would be good.

My mate drove from Glasgow to Ayr then the woman blanked him. He went to her door then she started the hovering. (she knew he was driving that far)

Two verifies is not a lot. They might have been fake verifies.

Any ladies up for meeting him and giving him a hug??

I had a couple tonight spit the dummy with me because they contacted me then wanted me to drive over 50 miles to there place without showing a pic and having no verifications on there profile. I got a reply back that was as long as war and peace giving me abuse and calling me a silly little boy who should trust people and i was the time waster lol. But i wasnt driving that far to end up in the same situation lol

For the record, that sounds to me like you made the right, sensible decision. Lots of lovely people on here, but there are some right headbangers too.

Nope. I'm not going on the naughty step for pointing out a timewaster, it's highly unfair. If they wish to defend themselves, they can feel free to unblock me & message me though. I'm all ears.

Easy to say, the guys met decent, fun, no nonsense people, quite sure he knows when he's been royaly dicked about.

Theres been no naming or shaming, just an experience we can all glean knowledge from, which i personally would luv to see more of in forums, so please dont turn an honest thread yet again turn into something its not!

Don't forget to report them to admin as a timewaster - if they make a habit of it or are fakes who get their kicks from messing people about it's the only way to discourage them from the site.

Just click on report on a message or by typing their user name then the no show/timewaster option is there.

Was there a healthy amount of pre-meet messages or did you jump at a random invite?

That's terrible. We could never do that to someone. Some people just have no thought for others.

It's happened to me mate.

I drove all the way to Edinburgh one night and when I got there she'd turned her phone off. Deliberately it turned out, because she wanted to watch East Enders omnibus edition. lol

Some folk........

Needless to say, she got permanently blocked.

Did that,,, hour long train trip to Broughty ferry, standing in the agreed pub,, gradually realising who you messaged never had phone on and you certainly could not go round the pub randomly asking each and every couple if they were on fab,,

That's properly bad form, and having met you in person I can hand on heart say their loss. I'm really sorry. I'd offer you a hug but I reckon you'd appreciate a beer far more from the likes of me :p

Onwards and upwards though, don't let one bad experience sully a site full of awesome opportunities.
