Ten pages of scots forum threads....thats 350 threads.....generally about 4 or 5 threads are alive (gain responses).
So why do so many sit redundant?
Is it this....if you have nothing nice to say, say nothing and all other threads are teetering on the brink of having nothing nice said in them ? |

General intrest i guess if someone aint intrested in a certain topic people will avoid it,the same as certain topics where you know whats going to happen to them so many refuse to be sucked into the debate for fear of speaking their opinions and be slated or belittle for them ...well thats what i think anyway . |

"Same themes over and again. Can only respond to so much trite before boredom sets in!! "
Some threads require a simple answer...
So there is no need for those ones to stay active....
Some are just set up because people are bored and crave the attention of others..
Some are fun and can go on until the end....

Most threads one to a natural close within a day or so, like a normal conversation comes to an end. A few last until they reach the magic cut off point but they are usually the daft ones we all like to have a laugh with from time to time
Occasionally a serious thread comes along and we all have our say on it until it closes as it got us all thinking and talking

Think you could be right there Jacs. Many's the time I have sat, fingers hovering over the keyboard (probably when I should have been hoovering it should be said) and thought twice about speaking my mind! I get into enough trouble in the chat room without starting it in here! lol |

Could it be that only 1% of members use Forums & others favour the Chatrooms, or don't visit the Forums regularly?
Of that 1% how many visit the Scottish Forum? Probably not that many so it's a smaller proportion of the Fab Forum community. A bit like living in Arran or the Scottish islands. They get visitors but not many folk actually reside there. Still nice to visit tho. |
