"Not once have I woken up feeling rested and refreshed. I think its a myth!
Please tell me Im not the only one waking up feeling just as tired, if not more, than when I went to bed
L x"
You are not alone sweetheart.
During your sleep you go through 2 stages; the open eye and the closed eye. If you wake up during the open eye stage then you feel shattered and even more tired than when you went to sleep but you feel well rested if you wake up during the closed eye stage.
May be you should change the length of your sleeping time which may put you in a different stage when you wake up. There is no certain time or any scientific way to control it excepy trying different sleeping patterns and when you find the one then you repeat it and hope that your body gets used to it. It is like pot luck really and changes all the time depending on your physicall and mental condition when you go to sleep and the kind of day or week you had. If you hit the right pattern try and remember what condition you were in when you went to sleep then may be have different patters for different conditions.
That was today's lecture brought to you by Professor D PhD, the sleep and mind specialist xx |

I woke at 5.30am and felt quite good but realised it was still early and ended up crashing back to sleep around 6am. Then woke at 8am feeling rubbish.
Need to actually start just getting up when my body wake rather than the alarm. Saying that some days I wouldn't make it into work if I did that. |

I used to be the same way myself till I realized that my dietry intake played a big part in it all...I was eating alot of craps & I was constantly lethargic irregardless of how many house sleep I had,all once id changed to a healthier lifestyle of no meat, junk food,sweets..it was amazing how energetic & refreshed I felt..mix that in with some exercise & a good sleep routine & the sky's the limit |
