So not sure which aspect you’re having issues with.
What I’ve discovered in my own experience is firstly direct photos will not auto delete. That is an issue. However, all other images do delete.
Photos you send that are pre-uploaded and set to delete do so after an unspecified period of time after the message is open.
However, it is possible to seemingly reset that timer where the recipient receives, opens, reads and then marks the message as unread before deletion.
My assumption based on past experience on fab, is the coder put a timer rather than a read marker deletion, i assume to ensure it wasn’t an accidental opened message or similar.
So as a result, it can take time to delete, it doesn’t happen instantly and can be ‘kept’ for longer if the message is back to unread. |
