I went for my regular quarterly tests this morning and the nurse made me aware that Gonorrhoea is rife across East Central Scotland Swinging scene just now, and that condoms alone aren’t stopping the spread. She suggested I mentioned it to my contacts because the best prevention seems to be getting tested as it doesn’t always show any symptoms and she is seeing both men and women with it. Just passing on the message, if you have played in the past few weeks, even with a condom, it only takes 5 minutes to go get tested. |

"My local health service doesnt offer this…. So frustrating, i just do it privately online."
All the local health services have some for of testing however you may have to tell a little white lie and say you have symptoms in order to qualify for testing as the rule of thumb is if you’re being safe and have no symptoms there’s no need to test in a clinic just do it at home |

"I'm more interested in where you can go and get tested in 5 minutes
The appointment does only take five minutes in and out !! Booking it and waiting to be seen depends on how busy/staffed they are
Also can order a home kit !
"
It's much better than it used to be at staying on schedule.i thought I booked one weeks ago, didn't hit confirm. Showed up to an appointment I didn't have but they got me one later that day.
Took 5 mins. Smear results in 5 days, and bloods on day 8. Good turn around if you ask me |

"If condoms are not offering protection then thats surely a worry"
Condoms only provide some protection. They are not 100% a guarantee that you won’t catch something.
There are plenty of diseases can be transmitted orally.
Safe sex helps a lot, so does constant testing. But education and being in the right mind set, safety first- - ON BOTH SIDES! — when playing.

It’s easily transferable by fingers or mouth. So sex with a condom but no touching each others genitals or even kissing and scrub your hands with antibacterial soap when you remove the condom.
Thanks must go to the original poster for alerting people. I was tested a couple of weeks ago at the Sandyford and they didn’t mention it. Always good to start the new year with a health check. |

Spread awareness not diseases
Agree that it is a complete fallacy that for disease to spread there must have been intercourse, and that's how a lot don't understand how they caught something.
Like you said poison anti-bacterial soap the original and best defense I always use Dettol soap.
Depending on where you go yes, some may need a reason, it's literally a tick box exercise, say you think you have symptoms or that you've recently discovered you were cheated on Or you had a one night stand in a night out and didn't use protecting anything inorder to get your test done.
It's nice to know some people care about their sexual health, always with going for a full screening. |

They never have fully unless it’s literally a fuck and go !!
Kissing oral passing of bodily fluids via the mouth and fingers isn’t as high as penetration but still carries a significant risk |
