Is that anything to do with the little yellow light that flashes on the front of my pc?

Sorry mate, haven't a clue.

Ask in technical advice forum.

Man here.

Right...

Usually no; don't have any network restrictions. I assume you're trying to access the web from a work machine with WebSense or the like installed.

First off, yeah public proxy is probably your best bet. Especially if you don't have installation privileges on the device. Google for one to avoid the service in particular they're using. "Anonymize me" is a good one but they're often blocked as well.

If you do have admin rights, and it's just the network topology that's in the way, install an 8080 browser, or a tunnel to your home machine (and use that as your proxy), or use an IPv4-IPv6 since the websense type blocks don't usually touch IPv6 traffic. If you're really paranoid, you could install Tor if you want to be a bit more secure...

Happy porn-browsing

Heya sensual...

You wanna come over some time so I can insert some packets into your vpn tunnel?

Then maybe I could fork your git/scm repository before dumping some raw data all over your display...

It is much easier to do if you run linux. I have never tried it with windows. Basically you find the ip address of the wifi access point. Ping its broadcast port to find the ip and mac of other computers connected to it the just change your mac address to match one of them. For tunnelling you need a proxy that will take data from all parts of the internet and send them out on a particular port, usually the ssh port as hotel internet keep this unlocked to allow you to pay.

I have a raspberry pi as my home proxy. £25 credit card sized computer and it can play Quake III
