MAMOBA, miles and miles of bugger all (Aberdeenshire)

I stayed in the movenpick hotel last year - fantastic, and about 5 minute walk from the centre of amsterdam.

Lovely hotel, big comfortable rooms, and quiet enough to get a good sleep!

The De Roode Leeuw at the Dam Sq end of Damrak is good, clean and central.

Bit of a tip - don't drink on dam square itself - very expensive - head back a few streets, and its way better and right on the canals as well (and just a wee hop across a bridge takes you right into the red light district)
