Hi guys

Up and about with a spring in my step this morning getting ready to run my local 5k parkrun.

Great for the body, mind and soul.

Does any of you lovely lot also partake in this great little event every Saturday morning?

Let's inspire each other

Missed this Saturday but it's usually my preferred way to start the weekend. Hope you had a good one

I’d love to go back running but due to injuries from my rugby days I have really bad knees.

So road runs are not good for me

Am one of the Run Directors at my local one, so I’m the one in charge of it. Love them, always a brilliant atmosphere. Havent physically run one in a couple of years, but planning doing it this weekend

All over

I've been wanting to get along to a parkrun now that the rugby season is finished.

Anyone know what's on offer in Edinburgh?

I ran the Greenock one yesterday it's a really good one running along the clyde and it was some day for it.

I love the community spirit of it aswell as the physical and mental benefits.

Haha yeah I know I have done it all through the winter months.

That one yesterday was my 18th at Greenock and I know exactly what you mean but still love it.

My time yesterday wasn't my best but I was happy with it. Just over 22 minutes

It doesn't really matter what time you complete it in it still feels good at the end.

Maybe we should start our own fab parkrun haha

Glasgow

We enjoy a parkrun on a Saturday morning, great start to the weekend. We are both under the 24 minute mark now but D hit a sub 23 this weekend. Great events and well organised by volunteers.

F xx

That's a really valid point, it's all about just getting out and doing something
