Parcel left with neighbour

"This is petty but this where I am at with them. If a parcel is left with a neighbour should it be the buyers who go and collect it or should the person it's been left with take it to the buyer? "
So what's your view on it? Me personally I would collect as neighbour done you a favour by taking parcel in |

I'd go and collect as they helped out by taking it in and then they could be busy for other reasons not to drop it off.

So the parcel has been left with me. This will be about 7th or 8th time I've taken for them and I'm expected by them to take it to them. They say things like "we wondered how long it would take you to bring us our stuff" Each time I try to be polite and say the emphasis is on you to collect, that's why the delivery company leave you a note. When I collect my parcels straight away I'm branded impatient. |

Personally I think it's an entitlement problem. The first time it happened he reported the parcel as lost because he wouldn't come to the door. |

If I take a parcel in for a neighbor and see them coming home I’ll give them the parcel asap.
I don’t want someone’s else’s belongings in my house in case it gets damaged.
If they have my parcel I’ll go round as soon as I see the slip that it’s been left with them |

Had a couple where I’d been out with dog and they delivered earlier than the expected time and as you said at the front door on the mat with no attempt to hide it |

Simple, don't accept anymore parcels for them. |

As most of my neighbours are elderly, I tend to go and get it from them.
However there have been a few times when I've not known that a neighbour has a package for me, and it just says "Delivered to neighbour", so I have to wait on a neighbour bringing it to me.
I'm the type though that if I take in a package for a neighbour, feel guilty having their property, so watch out for them coming home and practically sprint it over to them.

Deffo the worst. I have a safe-box at the back of my house. You can put things in, but not take then out without the key (or a crowbar). My Amazon instructions always say to deliver things there, but the number of times I get home and something is sitting at the front door is fustrating. Espetially when it's something that could have obviously fit through the letterbox.

Just whoever realises first - my neighbours are ace as I’m always getting deliveries and they kindly take them in if I’m not home so least I can do is go collect but there’s times they get there before me and bring them round as I get home.
And I always take them in if they’re out and deliver them when I know they’re home.
Life is too short to get annoyed about something so small!

I agree. You're being helpful to them and they're simply being ignorant. It's a shame people choose to behave like this. So unnecessary |

If a parcel was delivered to me for someone else I’d deliver it when I noticed they were in and if a parcel was delivered to a neighbour for me then as soon as I realised and said neighbour was inn then I’d go pick it up |

Don't accept the delivery the next time. That would be my course of action. If they can't be civil and grateful, then stuff them. |

In that case, I would start to refuse taking in his parcels and stop accommodating being a back up. |
