Advice and tips from other couples would be greatly appreciated as we're gonna try visiting CJ's for the first time. We're both feeling nervous as fk, but excited at the same time. Almost like that feeling you get when you go to meet someone else for fun for the first time....but more intense lol.

It will be our first time at CJ's, and our first time in a club.

We've been meeting others for fun for the last 20 years and love it, but we want to try something different for a wee change. Will we feel welcome? What is it like? How does it work? What to expect? Are we doing the right thing by going lol?

Thanks in advance and maybe see you there

Just chill out and treat it like a social. We were nervous first time as well, but you'll soon settle when you familiarise yourself with the layout. X

Biggest thing I can suggest is go for opening, that way you can look round the place when it’s quiet and get a tour so you know where everything is. You can take your own booze in too if you drink. Everyone is very friendly and it’s a great atmosphere. My husband was so nervous the first time we went but just get chatting to people and it’s like a social. The staff are so nice.

That's helpful to know about getting there early...also good to hear about your experience aswell, appreciated

I think it would be good if you went to pre drinks, then you would have had a chat with a few people before and know some faces.

The open room

Without sounding stupid

Do you just join in

Or do you have to be asked

Also if m doesn't go with other females is that ok

We went first time last year, took him for his bday. Went July 22nd. I booked it days before but never actually told him until about 3 hours before it opened. We were both really nervous, first time in this type of situation at all. He defo felt it more because he had hours not days but we did enjoy it though we did spend most of the night in the fag shelter or in the lounge dancing, and I 1000% drank too much. Met some lively people, it's all so relaxed but would totally do it differently next time

Hey don’t worry about the drinking bit. I done a full bottle of rum at Halloween and then kept my friend up all night in the hotel room we shared with my d*unken snoring

The poor thing really couldn’t look at me the next day

Nah we walked back the mercure from cjs, I fell in the middle of a 4 lane road, shouted at him, got up, let him walk on, fell again. Refused to get up and ended up a week later in a&e for an xray. Wakened up on his bday with the sexy number still on knowing fine well that nothing had came of it. Funnily enough he could barely talk to me the next day never mind look at me
