It can be much cheaper - as a PPL holder I've taken a few couples up to 5500ft in light aircraft so they could 'join the club'. No certificates to prove it though!

just fly business class and you will have lots of opportunities to join the club. the staff turn a blind eye to goings on through the night.

Not sure which airlines your flying but I would recommend this on any normal airline as its illegal. If you do it on a flight to the US it's even worse!
