Just a gentle reminder that you are under no obligation to force yourself to enjoy "forced festivities" with anyone, be it family or not, at this time of year. Do what you need to do to protect your own peace.
Christmas isn't always a happy time of year, and unfortunately can be a triggering/catastrophic for some.

The silent 999 call.
Dial 999.
Listen to what the advisor is saying, even if you cannot answer/respond verbally.
You will be prompted to cough/bang/tap/make a noise if you need help. If you can, please do so.
The advisor will then prompt for you to press 55. Again, do so when prompted.
This will trigger a 999 response and the call handler will action have emergency services come to you.
NOT ALL SILENT CALLS ARE AUTOMATICALLY RESPONDED TO, SO PLEASE TRY YOUR BEST TO FOLLOW THE SILENT 999 ROUTINE.

I would say don’t be afraid to post here too. There will likely be others also struggling at this time of year.
