I’ll be honest and say my libido and energy has dropped off in the past year or two. I can understand why a lot of folk, mainly single men over 50 give up and get a hobby or fire into the drink. |

I am 64 been on here for about 8 years now and have been fortunate from time to time and met some lovely people .
I do find it a bit more difficult now as getting older but still fully functioning! |

I do believe there are alot of people only looking up to a certain age but this hasn't stopped me finding pleasure and if I'm to old for them then thats thier loss for missing out on experiences. |

I find that it’s a game of diminishing returns the older I get on fab.
But, having said that, when I do connect with someone here these days, I find that the fun is far more satisfying and drama free x |

We do not feel limited at all, we hold ourselves young and enjoy the freedom of a empty nest to play in.
Other advantages for us, no menstrual period, both sterilised,
secure in our relationship, experience, more play oriented than just orgasm oriented (orgasm is part of the the play, not the end of it), sexuality freedom (Not afraid of same gender contact or play), know what we like and open to try other things.
As to others age restrictions, each to thier own.... it helps filter out play partners.

Geography and available free time are definitely more of a factor.
The real difference to me, has been COVID and the changes in work culture.
Used to be out and about a lot with work. Driving all over the place which gave plenty of opportunities to play in lots of different places. Now work's all done by phone and video chat.

I think us over 50s restrict ourselves sometimes. I know I do... I have noticed in my 50s though after being on here for about 13yr there are a lot more invitations for up to 49s. Age can be a big issue if us over 50s have adults in their 30s, I personally don't have anything in common with someone in their 30s and would struggle not to mother them like my own kids lol, I have more in common with my own age group and I also understand it from the other side, why would a 30+ want a 50+ when there are loads of their age group and younger to choose from? I understand there are loads of people were age isn't an issue though but I think it is for the majority... |

51 and probably having the best sex of my life and I really appreciate it now too. I know myself and my body better and I hope I’m good at understanding my play partners too.
No kids at home now, so that gives a certain amount of freedom too.
Yes the offers on fab can dwindle slightly after 50 as younger people don’t look above that age often but I’m not short of interesting offers plus as someone mentioned there’s also clubs and indeed other sites.
I will admit I’m happy to play with younger and that’s not for everyone is maybe part of it.

Go along to socials and clubs where people can meet you in person and filters don’t apply.
Yes, it can reduce the number of people who message but at the same time it can also out the time wasters. I’ve met people in person at social or clubs that I probably wouldn’t have met based on a Fab profile and been very pleasantly surprised. |

As an over 50s dude it’s lovely to hear so many encouraging stories…but the reality is, sorry, but on Fab, the chances of a meet are fewer and fewer.
I love having sex, and body contact etc but as I say the reality is far different while searching for real meets in here. I suppose though there’s a reason everyone has their preferences on here. |

The combination of older age and geography can prove more challenging, just a younger tend to have set age limits its more likely to meet people from your peer group/age / interests but you never know what might pop up |

I met loads of folk at socials and those I met were great people but as the years passed and folk moved on I never enjoyed clubs I went to two. and as a non-drinker I hate socials in pubs I guess I am too damn old for them I prefer a nice meal and a relaxing lunch I enjoy it as a social meet. I had great chats and laughs with some nice genuine folk on here and brilliant trusting support when I ran charity lunches probably time for this old fart to stop looking and dreaming of a miss right coming my way. oh and have a great Christmas everyone , cheers |
