It's S**** being Scottish!

We're the lowest of the low. The scum of the f***ing Earth! The most wretched miserable servile pathetic trash that was ever shat on civilization. Some people hate the English. I don't. They're just w*nkers. We, on the other hand, are colonized by w*nkers. Can't even find a decent culture to get colonized by. We're ruled by effete a**holes. It's a s***e state of affairs to be in, Tommy, and all the fresh air in the world won't make any f***ing difference!

Happy St. Andrews day.

Tinsel Town

Why the anger?

I'm English my husband is Scottish. I loved living in Scotland, never had any problems.

My best friends are Scottish.

If we had the opportunity we would probably move back up.

The original and best.

I've read a couple of his books, acid house and glue.

I thought the Wedding Bells was hilarious. Scottish humour is very diverse.

Got to agree with this by OP. We didn't vote for Brexit but we're now stuck with an unelected PM who doesn't give a fuck about Scotland . My biggest problem is that we can't leave this sectarian shithole because we're no longer part of the EU.I sometimes feel like going down to Kent coast and getting in one of the small boats and doing the return journey to France and then make my way to Spain to live my dream. UK is fckd.

Mate, take it from someone who is here by choice and not by birth, the UK (with all its shortcomings and drawbacks) is still a great place to be, especially compared to some other European countries.

It’s not heaven on earth, that’s for sure, but you can’t imagine how some things that you take for granted, in another country are luxuries reserved for the select few.

Sure, Westminster is full of wankers (and between you and me, Scotland could do a lot better without them), but the country as a whole is full of good people and great potential.

There’s loads of people in positions of power who are unelected.

Anyway there is problems in Scotland but everywhere else has these problems. Funny you mention Spain. Do they not have issues with the basque region etc.

If the sectarianism in Scotland is a massive problem for you then change your environment here. There’s certain groups or people I don’t agree with and if they are continuously pushing their ideals on me then I would cut them off.

I could find 10 things I hate about Scotland but for every 10 I could find 100 things in love about it. I love the saying the grass isn’t always greener on the other side, it’s greenest where you water it.

Trust me mate if it wasn't sectarianism then it would be something else.

Late 80s a mate from Belfast told me, and he was right their was absolutely 0% colour racism in Northern Ireland, they had no person on a different ethnic heritage then there of course.

Sometime the devil you know is the best place to be.

Not condoning it, that's just realism.

Covent Garden

If it's any consolation the majority of my p+sitive interactions / engagements on Fab as a whole have been with women from Scotland. I find them kindly, savvy, undeniably flirtatious, intelligent and quite down-to-earth, devoid of any crass or BS.

Obviously visiting the wrong places then...or perhaps don't go?

Sometimes you believe what you want to believe even if it is wrong.

There are lovely places throughout the whole UK and worldwide, equally there are some bad places.
