Hey,
Interested to know if people prefer chatting to folk that are verified by someone or only photo verified is fine?
I am a bit wary if they are only photo verified and have no meet verifications....
Thoughts? |

As I am a single guy on the opposite side of the coin, I see an awful lot of ‘single female’ profiles, not photo verified with 1 meet verification from a guy around the time that the profile was created. Instant no from me. Photo verified ones are slightly more reliable.
If the profile hasn’t met within 6 months I’d also not bother. I’d say for women, if a guys profile hasn’t met in 3-6 months I’d bin it. If they can’t be arsed going to a social or have a social meet to be verified as genuine, I’d say the quality of guy isn’t that high. It’s not that difficult to meet others here. Don’t waste your time chum

It’s near predictable on the local updates just now as it’s often name_name has joined! Then name_name is verified, just looks like someone creating more and more fake profiles at times. |

I will always give someone the chance - as a guy here who had meet verifications and mine are gone now I know how hard it is to get one... even if you have a meet not everyone leaves one. So I dont assume.. but for a lady I get the fear and wariness of doing so. |

I only search by photo verified nowadays, far too many fakes. Meet verified I can understand is important from a female point of view but not so much from the male aspect. No reason to not be photo verified just sorts the more genuine people out from the folk here just to mess people about. Kinda |

My thoughts are that good vetting is paramount. Yes it’s good if someone has the green flag or tick but is by no means any form of guarantee. Use your gut and put lots of safety factors in place. Always tell someone you trust where you are. Meet socially first in a safe place. There’s lots of lovely people out there but some not so so lovely too.

Yeah, this is wisdom. For me it's also a matter of time and energy, if I'm putting in the work of sending a unique message I want to know there's at least a chance of someone reading it, and a photo verification indicates that little bit more investment. |

iv`e been a member for around a year now, only recently started being more active on the site, photo verified, as soon as i joined. Trying to get any sort of other verification for a guy at least on the site is nigh on impossible. Real life comes first and my kids are my priority, so turning up to meets or clubs when they are often the same days i have my kids, causes problems. I get that women are in demand on here and get bombarded with messages, but that will also probably be the reason folk in my predicament often get passed by. |

This fact is true. I was chatting to a young woman a few months back, had meet and cam verifications, seemed nice, then I reverse image searched her images, and it wasn't who she claimed to be. If it even was a she.
Then last night I got a message off a fairly new person, that had verifications too. I replied in a fairly positive way, I reverse image searched their main pic, and found it was a cropped version of one from a pron-site from 2015, despite them claiming it was a recent pic. Unless you've been in a coma for 7-8 years, 2015 isn't recent.

Think like any digital medium you just need to be careful. Try and verify with video call or such don't share too much personal information before you have met or are sure. As everyone says seem to be some shady profiles.
I think most of the scammers and time wasters give them selves up quickly by trying to glean info, pics or dodging questions.
Be careful and don't rush if they're genuine they should be happy to get the other person comfortable |

Chatted to a guy the other day that was photo verified, the guy had pictures of a dead bodybuilder on his profile saying that was him 
I dont really trust photo verified users to be real tbh, just follow my feelings and if they are verified by meets the better it is imo |

I can understand that tbh - was on here over 5 years ago and met a number of amazing people at parties, socials and cjs etc and now that I am back on it seems most have left which is a shame so back to the start which is all good. Having had no meets since returning I do understand that people pass you bye and you just need to be patient and once i get back to the socials all good as there are lots of very nice people on fab - my 2 cents. |

I like probably hundreds of other fakes have returned and lost veri’s. I know it sounds dodgy but until I manage to find the time to attend a social I know my profile is going to get skipped. I don’t have public images either, partly due to my job but also cause I don’t trust the World Wide Web for stealing photos etc, maybe just me being uneducated.
Now I haven’t sold myself at all here but what I like to do prior to a meet be it social or for fun is have a video call, I think it saves so much time to make sure people are genuine and you actually look like the profile.
So to answer the OP, I would chat to them, be cautious and ask to prove genuine

OP. This Site is what it is . It has Pitfalls and it has Gains . So as site says use ur peferences go with what u feel right .
Now on other side loads to be gained but again it goes with ur gut feeling .  |

There’s regular monthly Aberdeen and Dundee Socials if you don’t live in the Central Belt. People who’ve say they can’t get verified just need to make a little effort to get to a social, even if it heads driving an hour to get there. I rarely reply to messages if I haven’t previously met the guy at either a club or a social and I always check verifications. |

There’s also a weekly social at the Paisley pub quiz and verified many newbies if they turn up. Many ask about it but then don’t appear.
There are plenty of opportunities for people to get verified if they make the effort. |

We won’t meet profiles who are not multiple verified. Have tried in the past and we’ve been left stood up probably 80% of the time or we’ve also had people who look nothing like the photo they send. For us it’s too much effort to end up wasted time. Although verified doesn’t always solve the issue it greatly reduces the risk |

What to do is get said person to send you a picture direct from there phone of them touching there nose or something you cant pull of the internet. You get to see the real person verify who they are and see if profile is fake or not. |

I chat with guys that catch my attention, whether they have no verifications, are photo verified or meet verified.
I don't much care for verifications, I prefer to trust my gut instinct about people rather than what others say about them.
