Ok ok, I seriously can't remember as it was that long ago but I think it was either ghostbusters or a compilation album - I vaguely recall a 'hits' album like the now ones lol.

I think my first purchase was wet wet wet popped in souled out but I didn't have a record player it was a tape deck so most of my cassettes were home made compilations taped from the chart show lol xx

I used to get copies of all the early wet wet wet, deacon blue, Texas stuff as my neighbour was a lawyer who wrote all of their record contracts so he used to get copies of all their stuff before it was even realeased. He also did contracts for people like the happy Mondays and the soup dragons. I loved going into his record room and he'd say here you go and hand me copies

Not so much the single that is embarrassing (The Glitter Band - Rock and Roll) but the fact I went to one of his Xmas Eve concerts in Glasgow !!! Wonder how many other Fab members admit to it ..... going to the concert that is ..... they were sell outs !!!

I saw GG at university and it was an amazing night ... jeans from the charity shop and an old t-shirt with a can of silver spray paint. Concert was a piss take. If we had known then what we know now it would have been a riot tho' with his as the target.

a mind 'i saw the sign' by ace of base bein the first single i ever bought on tape as a kid, and the first album being the crash test dummies one that had 'mmmmmmmmmmm' on it. must have only been about 11 then!
