"any Fabbers been / regulars
Noticedit today when in town - is it any good and is The Society Room part of the bar"
Think it's just changed its name as the society room sign's over the door. Not been in it in years, i was actually one of the original staff when it opened-i thought it was just another spoons but with music. |

If the target is office totty, All Bar One is a much better bet. Friday 16.00 onwards.
Gaggles of hens and girly drinking sessions? Saturday noon till the sun is over the yardarm.
The living dead who can't remember where they live, never mind how to get back there? Sunday opening time onwards. |

"Absolute hole !"
"Got to agree - All Bar One has that crowd of wannabees but cannaebees
The "Young Team" end up d*unk and pushy at the bar which isnt too inviting !!
"
Crashed and burned, eh folks?
Maybe the Sarry Heid might suit better. |

Don't apologise. It may not be your fault. |

Lloyds are part of the Wetherspoon chain and yes it it a 'spoons with music.
Used to work the Door and it is one of the worst doles I've worked for trouble
If you Iike the 'spoon atmosphere ambience in the City Centre try The Counting House on The Square not as troublesome and its the same frozen microwaved food |

Better still the Sir John Moore on Argyle St have used it a few times when meeting folks from here for lunch or a coffee.
And close to Cebtral station if you want a quick getaway |

Used to go to Lloyds after work on a Friday years back, It's went donwhill big time. Full of neds these days, so steer well clear of it. The Counting house is ok, Piper on the Square, not bad on a Sat afternoon/evening, with a singer and a DJ on afterwards. |

Lloyds tends to turn into the Wild West post 9pm. Always fights going on. Classic wortherspoons joint I guess. Cheap food and drink - it's a place people go purely to consume alcohol if you get what I mean!!!
All Bar One is a bit wanky and full of suits (even though I am one myself! Lol) but its pretty safe and generally lively though no music.
In that area The Piper and Waxys are ok plus the Auctioneers at a push.
Yates Wine Lodge is as you'd expect for a Yates. Hell on earth. |

In that part of the city centre my favourite bars would be Soba, Vespbar, Sloanes and the Piper.
For slightly classier venues try Princess Square top floor plus the cocktail bar in the new Thai place on Buchanan St. Vronis is ok too but, as mentioned above, can be a bit pricey. |

Not at all Auds!
I just prefer my city centre drinking without the need to visit A&E afterwards for 25 stitches and a punctured lung..... |

Having spent the better part of the past 30 years working the City's doors I now no longer partake in a cocktail of an evening.
I will go and watch my sons band when they are playing other than that I tend to avoid City Centre after dark.
Though I have been in a few nice venues over the years.
Not a big fan of the 'spoons culture, cheap frozen, microwaved food and even cheaper booze.
It's the wee lassies with the orange skin and the skirts up their arses come in and buy a jug of some puke coloured drink with umbrellas etc for the price of a pint and then want to either slash some other orange creature or shag a bouncer that I think put me off these establishments. |
