Two options really:
1. Attend some existing socials, get to know some people, maybe arrange something as a group effort with inout from folk who have done it before
2. Lob something up, hope for the best but be prepared for the fact a lot of people might not want to take a punt on a relative unknown |

That was my original thought, however, many of the socials posted are on nights where I work (typical lol). I'll take the chance and see what happens with popping a meet up.
