I am seriously thinking about it. I haven't lived west coast of Scotland for 24 years (other than a couple of months in the mid 2000s).

Should I come back? Is the swingers scene good?

Both Glasgow and Edinburgh have very active scenes, both sexually and socially, and a lot of people are in both circles. Hope you find what you're looking for

There’s been a lot of fun these days. Many people are coming out for swinger meets and clubs have really upgraded a lot. But if there’s good there is bad too. So many time pass people and spammers. Should be careful with them.

To be honest Glasgow is fun if you see the positives. If you really meet someone socially for the first time I bet you’ll really enjoy the fun talk.

Naughty is more fun than expected

Why not look at somewhere roughly equidistant for both?

Don't worry about jobs, crime rate, weather or transport links... As long as the swinging scene is top notch get the van packed.

I do live in Preston at the moment so I am not sure it is massively better/worse tbh.

Absolutely!

I mean you make a fair point but I have a job that I can work anywhere with and I might use other sources than fab for crime rates, weather or transport info.

Buuuuuuut also happy if anyone wants to give me that info at the same time as the swingers scene info.

Understood, and from experience, I can tell you that spending time with family & loved ones is more prescious than most people can understand.

Love your profile BTW.

You don’t have to be city centre - a nicer area on the outskirts maybe?

Aside from the town centres being a mess, the west coast has the most spectacular sunsets over the Clyde approaches, loads of day trip potential to the islands and West Argyll is only a short ferry ride away and your up the coast to Oban in an hour odds. Ireland/ Belfast is a hour down the road to the ferry. Prestwick does flights to the Spanish / Portugal resorts. Waverley and Arran and airshows too.

Yes our town centres are a terrible mess but that's across the board due to online retail and absentee landlords not giving a shit about their buildings. (Huge topic in Ayr just now)

LOL, I agree just don't open your eyes whilst in ayr, it's pretty grim since the station hotel fire.

Glasgow / London

Amber, I moved up here at roughly the same time you left. I can tell you Glasgow’s got better and better since then in pretty much every way.

Don’t listen to the haters.

(Mind you, I’m not a fan of Preston …)

Glasgow

I moved back to Scotland 17 years ago after leaving as a youngster. Back to Glasgow last year and I am LOVING it. I’m in a nice suburb admittedly, but I’m a short train ride from the city centre, near family (a big thing for me too) and I thoroughly enjoy all the city has to offer.

I’ve made some amazing friends here through swinging and other interests.

I not only enjoy the sexy side the social side is great too. I also enjoy the museums, theatre, cinema, shopping, restaurants, gigs, nights out in town…

Honestly I think it would be a great decision.

Happy to discuss in more detail via pm if you’d like.

Edinburgh

Housing prices are rising in both Edinburgh and Glasgow of which Edinburgh the more expensive. I like Edinburgh as it's more compact but Glasgow has its good points too.

Without being mean I'd choose either over Preston. It's nearly as bad as Fife!

If you were choosing to move somewhere based on the swinging scene I wouldn’t pick Scotland. There’s a reason so many Scottish people visit clubs in England regularly. You’re in Preston so you’re close to Blackpool, Manchester and Liverpool which have good clubs and Scotland is very limited with options

Thank you! Yes Preston is an ok city but wouldn't have been my 1st choice.

I lived in Edinburgh for a few years and enjoyed it but I would be moving back for family reasons so it would definitely have to be west coast.

I know what you mean about Preston. I think it is better than people think buuuut I don't think it is good.

Oh no definately not choosing a city for the swingwrs scene but I might come back for family reasons and wondered what the swingers scene was like.
