Does anyone know of any US style motels in Scotland where you can enter the room directly and not through reception, etc.

Only one I know is : Raigmore Hotel near Inverness

Lindisfarne Inn has the rooms separate and access from the car park.

Hotels aren’t that difficult to get people in to. I’m quite sure motels would still have cameras if you’re planning a party.

Ah, but some 'girls' are not too confident about walking through reception all dressed up, late or in the wee small hours, lol.

Edinburgh

Someone pointed me to the castlecary hotel between Glasgow and Stirling previously, some of the rooms there are motel style.
