Quite a lot of people around here refer to their spouses in uncomplimentary terms as pet names. "oi ya dick come and get yer dinner" was the last one i heard being bellowed from a window.
Also terms of endearment for dogs and kids (both coming under the same heading apparently) :
Ya f*cking tool!
Ya wee shite!
Ah isn't familial love grand  |

John used to joke the next day after a night on the sauce that I'd been abusive towards him  he used to say I said things like ' f*ck off ya big fat b*****d' so now occasionally I will call him one  as in 'what do you want for your dinner you f*cking fat b****rd' always makes both of us giggle tho I do wonder if anyone overheard if they would think that's how we speak to each other lol |
