Just wondering why so many people on here from Scotland seem driven to type in dialect language
Fair enough some words are different but that isn’t my point
You never see scousers or geordies or other English regions typing in a ridiculous way that some Scot’s feel the need to do |

Is there many phrases or words Scousers/Geordies that would be spelt different? Like in Scotland an easy example is bawbag.
Thinking of Steven Gerrard talking and 'Yeah course' is the only non proper thing that comes to mind.
Unless you are talking slang then the English do us Leng,Peng etc. |

Why is that affecting your life so much? Who cares? Live and let live, let people be happy by doing what they want and if you’re not happy about something as trivial as that block them? |

Probably because language is a living, growing thing and like adding some text speak (not exclusively of course), using colloquialisms adds nuance, humour and expression to the written word. Dis that help ye buggerlugs x |

It’s not dialect it’s the Scottish language and it’s not slang. So yes we do say ‘aye, ken, hoose, heid, naw, etc’. I do get messages from people in other parts of the UK who do use their own dialect.
Institutions like the BBC and the education system have made us use standard English and lose our own language. |

Actually, yes, you do see the same from users from other areas. So what? |

What IS your point?
Aside from the fact that 'dialect' and 'language' are distinct, and that most 'English' words aren't even English in origin, expressing your apparent distaste under the guise of a 'just wondering' seems somewhat disingenuous. Presumably you felt you were entitled to express yourself according to your own preferences; perhaps do the courtesy of letting others do the same without labelling it as 'ridiculous'. Never know, it might even inspire you to expand your own patois. |

Can we question your lack of a comma or a full stop? |

O my Love is like a red, red rose
That’s newly sprung in June;
O my Love is like the melody
That’s sweetly played in tune.
So fair art thou, my bonnie lass,
So deep in love am I;
And I will love thee still, my dear,
Till a’ the seas gang dry.
Till a’ the seas gang dry, my dear,
And the rocks melt wi’ the sun;
I will love thee still, my dear,
While the sands o’ life shall run.
And fare thee weel, my only love!
And fare thee weel awhile!
And I will come again, my love,
Though it were ten thousand mile.
One fae the bard .. somecunt dig him up and let him ken he's ridiculous |

Aye, nowt worse than gi’in away where yer from wi ow yer type.
The language v dialect part has already been covered so I’ll add, people from all over absolutely do give away where they’re from with how they type, it might be less obvious if you’re less aware of what you’re looking out for but I often spot Scousers, Geordies and of course people from Yorkshire a mile off.
I absolutely love it, accents are so hot and it’s an added layer when people are able to communicate them via text |

With all due respect, nobody talks like that anymore. Language and dialect has evolved. I think what the OP is alluding to is that while it’s perfectly ok to talk in your dialect, it’s the ones who message the same way that are a bugbear.
Personally, I couldn’t be arsed either way but everyone is allowed an opinion on everything |
