So you see on your home page in the local updates that someone new has joined the site. You check out the profile and see that ou are what they are looking for and in their age range. Do you -
A. Send a message
B. Think nah, can't be arsed
C. Send a message to see how long they last on the site?
I love to see the newbies come and go within a day or two. Am I the only one?  |

I usually laugh cause most of the time its someone who a week ago had a rant about no meets and they were leaving, then there is the new people who are really blocked people making new accounts to try again... Then there's the few true new members lol

we were all newbies at 1 stage so they dont bother me though what i will say is if they are new and unverified i will be more wary with them you can normally tell quite quickly if they really are genuine...its hard to fake the fud test |

It wasn't meant as a nasty thing. I keep getting the same updates every day about two or three new users who have slightly different names to the one yesterday. So either it's pot luck or as I assume its someone up to no good who will delete their account the same day. It's quite rare to find a genuine newbie - maybe 1 in 5. I'm all for talking to newbies if they want to but in my experience most don't last long enough on the site |

Time wasters have phones too and we've never had any problems with couples who aren't couples or men pretending to be ladies!
We don't invite people to our home and if a couple were expected and just a guy appeared then we'd just close the door again

We don't use the phone to check who people are or to chat - we use it to text hotel room number to but even that is rare these days as most people have smart phones and can access fab whilst out and about. |

To be able to comment in forums as a newbie, you must, be on the site 7days, and/or photo verified or verified by another member.
Yet you can freely message yir ass off,possibly fake as can be creating all kinds of timewasting chaos instantly?

I may be wrong but the 7 day window on forums might be to prevent banned users re-registering and continuing there argument or fall out on forums.
Cooling off period perhaps.
It was 2 years before i even bothered with the forums i wanted to dive right in to the pussy not talk about it.
Maybe also to stop mass spamming or trolling. |
