I must say 500 more troops getting sent to Helman Province and 30000 more US troops more deaths for what uk safety I just cant see why fighting over there makes the UK and US more safe place to live Good luck to the troops

I agree with part of what you say "Good luck to the troops"

Why can't you not see why the UK is a safer place?

Have you ever been on an aeroplane?

Have you ever been to Glasgow airport?

Have you ever known anyone who is or has been a drug addict?

Have you ever known or heard about a drug addict overdosing and dying?

Have you ever witness organised crime in or around the area where you stay?

Afghanistan is a breeding ground for terrorism which was depicted in the events at Glasgow airport.

Afghanistan is where the majority of herion which comes into the uk is from which leads to organised crime, drug dealing, petty crime from the drug users who need funds to feed their habit which leads to the break up of the users families, the ill health of the drug users which places a burdon on the tax payer to feed their habit on drug rehabilitation programmes and presribed methodone etc.

Lets leave the politics off this site and stick to having fun!

The soldier stood and faced his God Which must always come to pass...

He hoped his shoes were shining Just as brightly as his brass.

"Step forward now, you soldier, How shall I deal with you?

Have you always turned the other cheek? To My Church have you been true?"

The soldier squared his shoulders and Said,"No, Lord, I guess I ain't...

Because those of us who carry guns Can't always be a saint.

I've had to work most Sundays And at times my talk was tough,

And sometimes I've been violent, Because the streets are awfully tough.

But, I never took a penny That wasn't mine to keep...

Though I worked a lot of overtime When the bills got just too steep,

And I never passed a cry for help, Though at times I shook with fear,

And sometimes, God forgive me, I've wept unmanly tears.

I know I don't deserve a place Among the people here...

They never wanted me around Except to calm their fears.

If you've a place for me here, Lord, It needn't be so grand,

I never expected or had too much, But if you don't, I'll understand."

There was a silence all around the throne Where the saints had often trod...

As the soldier waited quietly, For the judgment of his God,

"Step forward now you soldier,

Walk peacefully on Heaven's streets,

You've done your time in Hell."

my sympathies to ALL victims of war

The policy makers and goverment officals should hang their collective heads in shame

For me a defensive army rather than an aggresive , oppressive and invading army that the goverment want should be the way ahead , not that it will ever happen and more young men and woman from all sides will die at their greedy fat cat hands .

A man's God should be the only judge... not any one of us. xxxxxxx

i cant wait to go back, should be good to get back in early 2010.

To be honest its easy for people to have opinions and things when thier only source of info is the news and papers, when your there politics and things dont matter, its the people we help that count.

As an ex army wife and mother of two soldiers. I fully understand why my sons are willing to fight for the rights of all of us. Drugs are the biggest terror and it is very true re the drugs entering the uk.

Slablifter that was beautiful.
