Yea. It does happen.
I used to host party’s at a beautiful Penthouse in Edinburgh that I rented via air B&B.
I had previously been at private parties and met some wonderful people who I became friends with over the years.
They were More than happy to attend a party that was a mixture of couples and singles around their age group.
I would suggest that you don’t have it at your own home though.
Entrance fee and over night stay fee is something you should look to do too to cover costs |

The reason I suggested my own house is to keep cost down in this current climate.
I'd be very strict on who attended and a good mix of couples and singles too. |

I think this is key to success - it would work well if you have a good network and group of like-minded friends, much trickier/potential issues with randoms you don't know well/don't know you well. |

Absolutely agree with this

Just like any party overbook because less people will turn up than say they will. A non refundable deposit of even £5 will help with the fantasists.
Drugs are inevitable, people that take drugs will take drugs. People who drink will get d*unk. People will attempt to fuck in the garden.
Bear in mind as the host you'll be busy hosting and you'll have little or no time for the old in out. |

I’d be wary of hosting it at your own place as giving out your address isn’t always safe.
AirBnB often have Ring doorbells and no parties as their rules.
I used to host murder mystery nights for Fabbers that ended up in fun. It’s good to have a core group that you know well and that they know each other if possible.
Remember also you’ll have all the tidying up to do afterwards as well as providing what’s required for fun. |
