We’re out in town on Thu 17th Aug just for drinks. Nothing crazy. We’re wondering if we could turn it into a couples social for couples looking for couples. Maybe 4 or 5 couples ideally. Hopefully a good way to meet and chat to likeminded people and possibly meet new friends.
If you think this sounds like something you’d be interested in then please message us. We’ll be going out anyway

Will do. We’re just seeing whether there is any interest in these small, in a pub, type socials. It hopefully makes it easier to meet people for those who don’t go to clubs. |

If there’s enough interest we might see if anyone fancies a weekend social but can’t do weekends in August. We are out on 17th August anyway so figured we’d see if anyone was interested in a social. So far we’re on our lonesome. |

We had a mini social on Sunday, no charge to hold places etc Just in a bar for food/drinks and only one single male turned up! He was driving though so couldn’t drink. |

We tried to organise one before Covid. We had four couples who were turning up but every one pulled out before the night. It’s a tough thing to organise. Some are regular club goers so won’t see the point in a social meet-up. Worth a try but there might not be a demand for meeting for a social with a few couples.
Surprised you weren’t inundated with single guys for your social given you’re a couple and there are so many guys but you live and learn |

There was a good few single guys saying they’d turn up but nope! Even some friends and couples were due to show but it was a Sunday and with the cycling thing having all the roads shut off probably wasn’t the best time to organise one. We’re always out drinking so always inviting others to join us for a drink and a dance who doesn’t love a night out?  |

Maybe the timing is not right but there appears to be at least three of us who would be interested in this type of social in principal. Out of an area of 1m people or above that’s not bad |

We’re still going out on that night but so far no interest in a social. We’re busy weekends for a bit so maybe a future weekend social would be better when we’re less busy. |

I am free on the thurs but Ian isn’t  . But would be interested in future social meets as we don’t go to clubs as often as we used to, so I’m always on the lookout for other ways to meet up.

You’ll often find people say they’ll attend and then don’t. That’s fine when there’s no outlay but I have organised larger socials and charged £5 and there was better attendance.
It’s usually better to get twice the number you want and then some may turn up. Good luck. |
