He's pretty rad, very experimental, made some awesome folksy music and cool jazz. I especially love the Rain Dogs album, and Bad As Me.

We had the honour of seeing him play live in Edinburgh a few years ago, for the glitter and doom tour.

One of the best gigs we’ve been to.

I was there too!

Great gig (doubt if we’ll see him touring over here again)

What would you say is the most accessible album for new listener?

"What would you say is the most accessible album for new listener?"

For his early piano years I’d suggest The Heart of Saturday Night is a nice introduction and for his later more challenging stuff I’d say Swordfishtrombones and Mule Variations are quite accessible.

I reckon he’s a bit marmite for most people.

I love him but it’s surely a subjective question?

Are you asking if you like him?

In this age of technology you could probably find out very quickly if he’s to your taste!

He should be, though. He’s great!

He originally did Downton Train. The song Rod Stewart tore the arse out of. Brilliant song.

Only everything he has ever done.

From Closing Time right through to Bad As Me.

In fact, I'm just going to play "Martha" now.

In fact I am not going to bed NOW, until I have played the whole "Closing Time" album.

The Closing Time lp is a cool half-century old this year. Been listening to it for 45 of those.

I went through a period of listening to him. I find I need to be in the right mood to listen to his stuff although, Table Top Joe will always be a belter!

His section in The Ballad of Buster Scruggs was also brilliant to see.
