Loads of festivals don’t sell out these days. Even transmit still has tickets available this weekend, doesn’t mean it isn’t going to happen again next year. |

Belladrum in two days, heading there Wednesday to set up. After all the traders having to go cash only last year, this year they have upgraded the WiFi to cope
Along with it's own mobile cell hopefully we will all be able to arrange to meet. Bring a brolly for Saturday  |

I enjoyed it but a lot of teething problems with the new set up. I am all for making it bigger but got to be sensible and actually be able to manage the capacity.
The hot house main stage bar was a disaster when people were moving away from stage after acts were finishing, so much congestion and then people started arguing with each other. I definitely prefer the hot house as the main stage though, the crowd looks spectacular when it's busy! I'd say maybe bring in a ban on seats past a certain point though, people were literally setting up seats and blankets about 10 metres from the front of the stage and causing more congestion.
The Bella Bar area perhaps needed a bit more of atmosphere, it felt very dark and not very well set up compared to previous years with the hay bales or the pyramid.
Didn't feel like there were enough toilets, seemed to be constant queues for them.
I think the Belladrum of old is dead and buried and it's now gonna be all about making it bigger and more profitable for the company in charge of it. |
