Worst/best excuses for bailing on a meet...
Jump to: Newest in thread
I'm in need of a laugh today and often joke with my swinging sisters about how we could write libraries of excuses we've had over the years from failed meets and bullshitters!
This goes for all genders too btw so I'm not just targeting men on this post!
I'd love to hear the weird and wonderful stories you've been spun by people who've clearly just shit themselves and bailed last minute on you! Anon of course! |

I think my one will be one we can all relate to my swapping the genders.
Single female account, verified tick but not photo verified. 3 meets.
On the day, social meet, she suddenly had her periods come unexpected and as being on your periods as a female, this obviously absolutely disables a woman from being able to move at all so she had to cancel.
Oddly though this single female had a secret boyfriend who was bisexual and would go in her place, he was apparently even better at her at sucking cock and would worship my giblets at this now sexual meet
Sadly I had already decided to spend the day washing my hair |

This one was me. Not related to swinging but going out with a girl many years ago. Second time we where meeting and on the way there a pigeon pooped in me. Like everywhere head, bit of my face and jacket. Stressed out I was heading to a public toilet to clean myself and she called me to see where I was. In a rush I honestly replied "look I'm really sorry I'll be late a bird shat on my me"
Funnily enough she wasn't at the table when I made it to the bar |

These are interesting! The hospital one always gets me, it's like you can't come for me if I say I'm in hospital, top of the "emergency" list.
As for the periods thing... yeah I mean as a woman who historally had issues which meant it was that heavy that leaving the house was sometimes impossible I can understand that being a slightly valid excuse, but generally women have no issues going about their day to day when they're on.
And to be shat on, well that's just all the luck and no luck! |

January 2023.
She books and AirBnB and gives me the address. I arrive on time, and discover that the venue is a small locked apartment complex in a very 'religious' part of Glasgow. It was cold, dark, and I was a little bit scared.
I tried to get in touch to ask what was happening but she'd gone completely offline.
After 45mins waiting to see if she'd come back on, I drove home and ordered a pizza.
She messaged me a few days later telling me there had been a "family emergency". Her brother died and she had to rush into hospital, and had neglected to message me.
I call BS. |

I got my period.
The kids dad hasn’t picked them up
You didn’t reply on time
I haven’t tidied up
I have covid
My gran died
I have a family emergency
One time a “lassie”got me all the way over then said she felt sick but her gay friend would be willing to give me head. No no no. You’d be amazed at the amount of profiles that are photo verified as a woman that are actually men |

I've had all sorts of weird excuses over the years but I'd rather guys just told me they'd changed their mind, I'd respect that so much more.
I had a guy years ago telling me his mum had died. I left and then came back whatever time later and the same guy messaged me, we arranged to meet etc then he cancelled telling me his mum wasn't well. And he wonders why I then wanted nothing to do with him x |

What I haven't told you all was that this was just me fishing to find the genuine people on here! JK!
Seems like the same excuses tend to do the rounds, although someone's mum coming back from the dead, christ that's impressive!
As for the photo verification thing, somebody recently told me that they knew of someone who used the Snapchat filter to make them female and they photo verified with that! WTAF! |

Did he leave the site though ?? |

Too funny. I would have proper belly laughed if some guy said that to me. |

• Work called me in.
• Car broke down/rand out of fuel.
• Cracked my screen and couldn't remember the address/pub/location/time.
• My ex called me.
• Xyz friend told me you are fake - We were meeting at a club, were already at the club at the time and had sent pics of us at the club.
• Broke my arm.
• Thought you were single. |

We had a couple, live literally around the corner from us. They wanted us to go to theirs late on a school night as that was what worked for them. Wanted us to go around at getting on for midnight when we're both up for work at 6am. We declined, they blocked us! |

Had a female cancel on me because she admitted she had a penis. Shared a photo as I was driving round. Actually that maybe counts as me cancelling that one |

A few years back I had arranged to meet a guy and literally 5 mins before he was due to arrive, messaged to say he couldn't go through with it! He had a sudden dose of the guilts about cheating on his fiancée! Whom he'd neglected to mention over coffee a few days before!! |

"I once had a man tell me on K1k before leaving to meet him that he had to go answer the door
Never heard from him again "
Might have been the police, I’ve seen how the show 24 hours in police custody can turn out |

Could also have passed the fridge and noticed there was no milk? Speaking of which, my dad still hasn't come back and that was 44 years ago. |

Not sure if it qualifies as more a scam than an excuse. I had one last night, got to the house and they wanted a £50 deposit sent to PayPal, which they would of course refund, for their security as were nervous meeting and wouldn’t come outside until it was transferred.
Fortunately was only a 25 minute drive so not too much of a waste of my time. |

Oh this thread is right up my street..
From the same guy-
1. Apparently while on way to me, slipped on ice at his car, broke his leg and his phone and was unable to message me to say he wasn’t coming. Stood me up and messaged me a few days later to tell me and sent me a photo of a leg all bandaged up which turned out it wasn’t broken.
2. Was on way to meet me for second chance and was apparently 5 minutes away when “apparently” the police urgently had to talk to him about a very pressing tax issue late in a Saturday evening and he was in the phone to them and then never turned up.
By now you’re thinking, this girl is a gullible fool but because I had met him once before, I did give him too many chances.
3. I got messages on his phone from his “female cousin” who told me he had collapsed on the football field and had been rushed away in an ambulance. Poor guy really must be one of the unluckiest men ever as apparently he had been telling this cousin how much he liked me and was looking forward to seeing me. Rearranged with him and you guessed it, he just didn’t turn up. No excuses given so he was blocked! Idiot had the check to like me on another site a few weeks back where you match and I matched him just so I could give him a piece of my mind!!!
Just be honest. If you’ve shat it just say. I have trouble trusting or believing anything men say after the lengths some go to to lie to you.

They only mentioned the “deposit” when I was outside so clearly hoping I’d rule with my little brain having already travelled. |

How do you know it was a genuine address if they wouldn't come out until you had paid? I think if you had paid then you still wouldn't have had your meet |

Everything seemed normal and they dropped me a pin. It was only when I arrived that they started all the nonsense. It probably wasn’t their address, probably wasn’t even a woman and some sweaty scammer. |

Thanks all for still continuing to share these! Honestly, the red neck of some folk!
It's no wonder that I keep my guard up until I've actually met someone!
I've never been asked for a security deposit though, that's definitely a new one |

I think it can be tricky with the last min cancellations as some will be absolutely genuine others just stinking lies.
But, as one chap has said above, the ones asking for money are just to be bodyswerved and reported. Too many guys are falling for this |

In my pre-fab days another TV publically told others I had stood them up. Claimed that they had waited in a lay-by for 3 hours on me.
Myself and another TV (All drab) had agreed to meet at a City-Centre Costas. So it was a fun catchup for me, at least.
I once had to call off a meet, but gave plenty of notice, and it was something so absurd it almost sounded made up. However looking back it maybe shoulda rang bells with my GP/the Hospital.
