Windows Live Messenger Closing

I see on March 15th 2013 MSN messenger will be no more, you are forced to download skype where you can login using your hotmail account... anybody any better alternatives that are like msn as i hate skype

i reinstalled windown on my laptop and msn sent me to skype for my messenger,,, i bloody hate it.. too fancy and geeky.. i just wanna have a standard messenger not a shitty one like that....

i went to oldversion.com and got an older version o msn working... dunno how long for tho

to be fair skype streams alot better than messenger ever did once you get used to interface its hard to beat and frees up more server space for microsofts many other ventures

Slightly nostalgic as I did most of my early perving on MSN. Was introduced to it in early 2000s when it was the best way to chat and swap pics live.

Msn Messenger was private...Skype keeps you logi details right alongside your work details...not a good look!

Anybody remember the yahoo chat rooms?

you could load your cam and wank away and be watched and watch others all over the world!

Msn and Yahoo both pulled those a few years ago,

I used to love the msn groups and that was the main reason I had msn at the time. They got rid of groups and I hardly used msn since... now msn is going I wont be getting Skype
