Just heard that the Scottish leg of The Famous Monte Carlo Rally leaves from Peoples Palace on Glasgow Green from 2pm on Sat 26th. There will be a display of all the cars taking part in Buchanan Street from 10 am until 12 noon.

Many of these cars are from the 1920's onwards and all classics in their own right.

It should be quite an impressive sight.

Thinking we might pop along and see it.....anyone else be going?

I'll be down there, then probably in West for a pint or two.

The Buchanan St display has been cancelled (by the police, I heard) but the Green will be kicking off around one.

It's a sunny day and the turnout is great. Loads of people out at the Green.

Found a few old friends here lining up for the rally, which is nice.

Favourites so far are a decent Stratos replica and a gorgeous old Holden.

Saw a nice Morgan 8 and an absolutely minted White Ford Escort (you could eat your dinner out of the boot!)

Great turnout and very busy getting in and out at the Green.

Loved the blue ford popular , guy lifted the bonnet and it was sparkling , but must admit the ford escort was my favourite
