Just seen the new Les Miserables movie, this afternoon, was very well acted,- musical orchestrations, spot on- all the cast were marvellous, if you get the chance to see it, and musicals are your thing- do it, you won't be sorry you went to see it |

Saw it on Friday night. I'm a bug fan of les mis and didn't go with huge expectation just in case I was disappointed and sadly I was a bit. Didn't like Jackman or Crowe, neither had the voice for the parts. Jackman was way too high and Crowe was awful. The rest of the cast were good in different degrees, the guy playing marius and Samantha barks were definitely the best.

Not long back from seeing it and went with an open mind, cos I am a huge fan of Colm Wilkinson. Jackman's singing disappointed me and my daughter and I both said during "Bring him Home" that it wasn't him singing, but Colm Wilkinson. However, his acting was ace. Russell Crowe surprised me by being a better singer than I expected. Anne Hathaway's singing was tremendous, but I don't like her as an actress, but that's personal preference. Thought the film was immense. I didn't cry though, which is very odd for me! lol |

No comparison between Jackman's version of Bring him home and Colm Wilkinson's!! Unfortunately it was Jackman singing, and he couldn't even hold the final note... Even after a second viewing, I'm still not convinced the casting for the main characters was right. |

I'm still not convinced it was Jackman singing the whole song - and for both my daughter and I to turn and say it sounded more like Wilkinson in the middle section was too coincidental. Must watch it again lol. |

Can guarantee one million percent that it was Jackman singing... Colm Wilkinson wouldn't have murdered it the way Jackman did! Miby I'm a traditionalist, but he just wasn't Jean Valjean... Mr Wilkinson is the one and only in my opinion! |
