Hi

Sorry this post is rather down in the dump but I recently lost my confidence with this site and have been really struggling to have the nerve to put myself out there again even tho I loved my past experiences with people I’ve met.

So I’m wondering if maybe anyone has had a similar experience and how they managed to get there confidence back

Thanks for you time x

Fab is like life in general.

There's good times and bad times!

On Monday, you may want to tell your boss to stick his job where the sun doesn't shine but on Friday morning, he's in a good mood and buys the cakes at teatime!

In Winter, your car is stuck in the snow but in Summer you're drinking cocktails at Ocean Beach in Ibiza!

I’d say take some timeout even if it’s just a few days or a week or so it might just help sort things out in your head .

Hide your profile rather than delete that way you don’t need to start again.

Use this timeout to decide if fab still has everything your looking for or has it totally lost its appeal .

Whatever you good luck

You're not alone, we all feel that at times and I am too. I just keep reminding myself that it will pass, and try to enjoy the social aspect.

You are not alone I have had very few meets but keep going I've had more timewasters than anything else and it does get you down especially with the way things are at the moment in the world

I'd second this. Park your profile rather than delete it, take a break. Come back refreshed and with some confidence back under your belt when you're ready.

I'm in a similar situation. After all that lockdown stuff and my health, I've forgotten how to communicate with people. I speak to 2 people all week. Well with one,I speak and he grunts (teenage son) the other is my partner. I so want to participate in fun but can't get started. I need some fun.

I’m the same to be honest. Been struggling to meet anyone on here for a while. It’s not the same.

Just keep telling yourself how handsome, witty and charming you are. If you do it long enough it sticks. Worked for me.

The site itself is not bad.

The people...like you say...well...that's a completely different story, keep your chin up, and try to look at the positive aspects xx

We’re the same. There seems to be so little happening on Fab and if that’s how we feel as a couple then can only imagine what it’s like for single guys.

We go through phases of that on here, when I'm feeling that I tend to have a break from looking at fab and focus on doing other things that can help lift my mood.

Happens to everyone on here from time to time.

Best thing to do is take a break for a while and come back with fresh eyes.

Hi everyone thanks so much for your posts

I’m glad it’s not just me feeling like this I still have hope for the site and I’m still trying to find like minded people just a shame that I think there just might be an (I’ll put it politely) over saturation of differently minded individuals x

Try and get along to a social event. I know it’s not easy given your location but it certainly helps to get back in to the swing of things and it helps to make new friends.

If you were closer I’d suggest your regular coffee meet up or quiz. It’s a great ice breaker for future events. Join in some of the forum chats. That’s also a good way to interact with people. There’s also an online quiz on a Sunday night. PM me if you want to know more about it. Fx
