Scottish Borders

skye's a beautiful part of the country, we were there in september last year with the camper. The rain and wind was unbelievable. Not to be put off, the sun must shine sometimes, may get up there again this year.

You were there at the wrong time unfortunately, Skye was one of the few places in the U.K. to actually have a summer, it was gorgeous from March until August...I know, unbelievable but true, I was there!

I'll be taking a few people over to dunvegan/borreraig over the summer. Don't think I'll get much chance for naughtiness, although I will be in the kilt.

Last summer was great. Pals in Coigach had a drought!

Yes, that's was on the news recently. Warmest and driest place in the uk last year.

If scotland had consistent warm weather it would be one of the busiest tourist places in the world. Skye in the sun is truly outstanding.

Have a wee stop near Loch Ness to break the journey up then...

There's a Nobel Prize awaiting whoever rids Teuchterland of midges.

I've always wondered are the midgies as bad on the outer isles as on Skye and the mainland? I love to go there this summer.
