Gutted to hear the news yesterday that Wilko Johnson (ex Dr. Feelgood guitarist) has pancreatic cancer and is declining treatment, preferring to carry on playing as long as he can. Have seen him live 3 times in recent years and he's one of the most dynamic performers I've had the pleasure of seeing in over 30 years of attending gigs. I'll definitely be watching for his farewell tour hitting Scotland.

That's a real shame to hear . I saw him a couple of times years ago he was amazing on the guitar . I actually worked with John B Sparks the original bass player of the Feelgoods on a building site many years ago top bloke too .

Pancreatic cancer's a bastard but even palliative treatment ain't much better.

Forsaking treatment to carry on playing is what I'd expect of an old rocker.

Bill Hicks died of pancreatic cancer, genius must be prone to it. Saw DF play in Aberdeen in 1986 and Wilko was at his manic best. Jeez...

The most tragic news - my all time favourite, and the soundtrack to my life. I'll weep unashamedly when the time comes..
