Not all french cars are crap lol. In my younger days i owned 3 peugeot 106 gti's and they are awsome wee cars. I have driven jag xfr's, bmw m3's and audi rs4. And the wee pug was just much more fun lol

As a mechanic who has worked at pug citreon for 9 years I agree with few things

In youth I had 309 gti then planted mi16 in it (betterhandling than 205 on track) then bout 10 205 gti (use to buy sell them) but then I bought a mk2 golf and relized build quality and finish were far supiorer than any French piss iv ever worked on . There made to last 3 years now the famous diesel engine now has catalogue of errors that the psa group know of but will not recall as the will go bust

So I will stick we my 1995 Audi s2avant my mk2 golf we 156 k and my golf turbo as they will still be going long before any new pug after 5 years

Just saying .......

WE had 3 series BMW and Merc CLK during that really bad snow cpl years ago , and couldnt get out the driveway! So quickly changed back to my favoured Audi A4 avant Quattro sport, and 4x4 Itchypussy Shogun sport for Mrs. Never looked back for either reliability or moving in bad weather.

"No peugeot should ever hit the open road ...... "

Don't know about post 406s, but I had a line of 505 diesels, brilliant cars. And when it came to towing, they were in a different league to their predecessor, a Granada 2.8 auto.

Would have happily kept buying them, but eventually had to go on to a 605, now that was a different story!

Just seen the new car for me. Áudi RS A6 Avant. Fastest estate in production. 62mph in just over 3 seconds, top speed just under 200mph.

Want one but does it come in pink, do you think?

Audi‘s r just quality, expensive too run but price is reflected in most if not all faculties. Never really liked big cars though, have a mondeo and its a pile of shite. New A/S/RS3 would be nice, but really wish they‘d produced the A1 quattrosport, looks minty fresh, drives like a go kart, holds the road like glue n has been recorded as shitting all over a Carrera S3 (didn‘t like hearing that lol, like porsches too). Looks like the general consensus is German then. +1

As much as I love speed(cars not drugs) I never understand why they make them to go so fast, as it's clearly entising us to break the law....!

Ye kind of agree, but most slow cars look pish lol. The little quattro sport won because of its agility not speed, although it is quick.

On my 2nd Octavia 2.0 TDI with the DSG box, and a bit like Jonesy in Dad's Army, "they don't like it up 'em Captain Mainwaring", Audi drivers do not like their mirrors filled with a Skoda badge!!

Badge snobs!
